It is reported that ‘Abd al-Rahman al-Sulami taught one of the sons of Imam Husayn ibn Ali (a) how to recite Surat al-Hamd. When the child recited it before his father, Imam Husayn rewarded the teacher with one thousand dinars, one thousand garments, and filled his mouth with pearls.
When people remarked about the generosity of this reward, Imam Husayn (a) replied:
“How can this compare to what he has given (my son)?”

Imam Husayn (a) reminds us that no material wealth matches the gift of spiritual and academic education.
As the only Shi’a Islamic School serving the far east end of the GTA, Al Haadi School bears a vital responsibility. Our community is growing rapidly, and our current facility has reached its limit. We have eager children on our waiting list, but we simply lack the physical space to welcome them.
