اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَىٰ ٱلْحُسَيْنِ ٱلْمَظْلُومِ ٱلشَّهِيدِ
Al Haadi School organized its second Arabeen Walk event on Friday, September 16th, 2022. Multiple stations were set up in the school field where students and parents were able to grab some refreshments, a station on which students were able to read some Quran, a station where they could rest, a station where they could sit and engage in meaningful conversations and reflect, and a station where students participated in a trivia activity on the theme of the number 40. As students and parents went through the entire walk, they made their way inside the school building upon which they were asked to write down their pledges to Imam al-Husayn (a).
Students from all grades participated during the event with a lot of passion and love for Imam al-Husayn (a). The program began with the recitation of the holy Quran by Al Haadi Kinders, followed by the Grade 2 class presenting their art about Karbala. Thereafter, Grade 4 students gave a short presentation on some of the core ethical concepts represented by Imam al-Husayn (a) and Lady Zaynab (s); namely: love, courage, humility, and patience.
The Grade 5 and 6 class reenacted the beautiful speech of Lady Zaynab (s) and Imam al-Sajjad (a) in the court of Shaam in the presence of Yazid. We ended the program with a powerful speech by Ramsha Abidi of Grade 8 and a eulogy by the Grade 3 class.
We ask Allah (swt) to reward all the children, teachers and volunteers who helped bring this event to life, by the right of Imam al-Husayn (a) and Lady Zaynab (s).
Below are some pictures from the event.
